1. National Archives of India

National Archives of India (NAI), Ministry of Culture has sanctioned grant of ₹ 7,50,000/- for preservation and conservation of Manuscripts, Rare Books, Old and Rare documents, Records of History during the year 2018-19. National Archives of India (NAI), Ministry of Culture has sanctioned grant of ₹ 7,50,000/- for tissue lamination and archival binding of manuscripts as well as digitization of rare books during the year 2013-14.

2. Shodhganga Project

UGC has sanctioned grant for the Shodhganga project of ₹ 5,04,500/- and ₹ 7,50,000/- for uploading of five years of back-files of doctoral theses and establishment of ETD laboratory in Jamia Hamdard. 330 Ph.D. Theses were scanned and uploaded to the Shodhganga ETD database during the year 2014-15.

3. Digitization of Manuscripts

National Mission for Manuscripts (NMM), Ministry of Culture has done work of digitization and metadata preparation to be carried by NMM through outsourcing during the year 2012-13.

Unani Medicine library is located on the second floor in the building of Faculty of Unani Medicine. It has acquired 12500 books both English and Urdu languages till date. Journals pertaining to Unani Medicine and related fields are subscribed by the HMS Central Library. On receipt of current issues of the journals, they are sent to the Faculty Library for 15 days. The back volumes are maintained by the Central Library.

Books purchased as per recommendation of the Dean and the teachers of the faculty are processed by the Central Library and sent to the faculty library time to time. These books primarily, deal with the areas related to Unani Medicine and general medicine. Teachers and Students of the faculty are entitled to borrow books from the library during working hours.

Library rules in respect to borrowing of books by the members are same as applicable to HMS Central Library. Teachers, students and non-teaching staff are the members of the HMS Central Library and they can borrow books and other reading materials from the Central Library also. The members can utilise the reading room facility of the Central Library.
