Eligibility
A candidate seeking
admission to this programme must have:
(a)
passed Senior Secondary (12th
Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry,
Biology and
English from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination
recognized by Jamia
Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate
of Physics, Chemistry and
Biology.
(b)
appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by
Jamia Hamdard.
(c)
not more than 23 years of age on October 1,
2003.
(d)
the ability to communicate in Urdu/Hindi.
(e)
sound health.
Stay in the
hostel is compulsory for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing students. Hostel
accommodation is provided on payment of prescribed charges.
Selection procedure
For admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing programme,
a Combined Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted to test the knowledge of
the candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Awareness.
The standard of questions will be that of qualifying examination
i.e. Senior Secondary/Intermediate. The
selection will be made on the basis of the merit determined by the
performance of the candidates in the written test only.
For admission against the NRI/Sponsored seats written test is not required
.
DIPLOMA IN GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY
(DGNM)

Eligibility
A
candidate seeking admission to this course must have:
(a)
passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate)
examination in any subjects from Central Board of Secondary Education or
any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto
securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate. The candidate must have
studied English in 10th standard.
(b)
appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
(c)
not more than 23 years of age on October 1,
2003 .
(d)
the ability to communicate in Urdu/Hindi.
(e)
sound health.
The Diploma
students will be provided free hostel accommodation and a monthly stipend
as approved from time to time. Those students who drop out at any stage
after admission will be liable to refund the whole of the amount of
stipend paid to them.
Selection procedure
For admission to Diploma in General Nursing and
Midwifery programme, a written Entrance Test will be conducted to test the
knowledge of the candidates in General Awareness (General Science, Indian
History, Indian Geography and Current Affairs) and General English.
The selection will be made on the basis of the merit determined by the
performance of the candidates in the written test only.
For admission against the NRI/Sponsored seats written test is not required
.
