Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi proudly announces hosting of the 3rd Post-doctoral Research Conclave (PDRC20) on March 30-31, 2020. We warmly welcome post-doctoral researchers from universities, research institutions and other organizations to Jamia Hamdard in the Conclave to share their exciting research and to network with their peers.
The last two Conclaves held in 2018 and 2019 were a great success. While conceptualizing the Conclaves the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard Prof.(Dr) Seyed Ehtesham Hasnain highlighted importance of post-doctoral research in Indian universities. He also declared that event would be organized each year.
Prof. Asutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India who was the Chief Guest at the first event appreciated concept of the post-doctoral conclave and extend his support to such activities. He also discussed DST’s initiatives to support research and innovation by the young researchers including post-doctoral fellows. The second inaugurated by Dr Shekhar Mande, Director General, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He lauded the research efforts of Jamia Hamdard in the field of biomedical research and a conducive ecosystem for research and innovation on the campus.
Taking a major initiative to boost post-doctoral research and to invite talented and enthusiastic researchers on its campus Jamia Hamdard launched Silver Jubilee Post-doctoral Research Fellowship Programme in 2015 from its own resources. Jamia Hamdard with its top ranking in Pharmacy and cutting edge research in other allied disciplines has attracted post-doctoral researchers. Currently, the post-doctoral researcher community is thriving very well on our campus producing high quality research output.
The Organizing Committee welcomes all the post-doctoral researchers, young and experienced to this Conclave with the hope that their participation will bring out stimulating ideas and provide them an opportunity to network.
