Both these Departments are known for their high quality academic and research progammes. The Department of Medical Elementology & Toxicology has pioneered post-graduation education in the subject of toxicology in India. It has very active research groups working in the frontiers of toxicology and producing high quality publications. It is hoped that during the proposed Symposium there will be an opportunity of vibrant interaction between stalwarts of the field and young and budding researchers of our country who will be the future leaders of science in India.

The Organizing Committee welcomes all the researchers, young and experienced to this progamme with the hope that their participation will bring out stimulating ideas about role of chemicals in our life and how to deal with them in case they threaten the human and environmental health.
