National Science Day 2023
February 28, 2023: Jamia Hamdard Celebrated the National Science Day on the theme "Global Science for Global Wellbeing". Prof. S Raisuddin enlighten knowledge on how the scholars can do better in Research Project. The Research Scholar and their supervisors were facilitated by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam for achieving success in Research Paper and Book Publishing.
National Science Day 2022
New Delhi: February 28: Each year the National Science Day is celebrated on February 28 to mark the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Sir C. V. Raman Ji on 28th February 1928. For this discovery Sir C.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. The theme for this year’s National Science Day is “Integrated Approach in S&T for Sustainable Future”. Jamia Hamdard takes pride in celebrating this day since last 10 years. This year’s programme was graced by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Science & Technology, Government of India and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office as the Chief Guest.
National Science Day 2021
National Science Day Celebrated at Jamia Hamdard with Focus on - The Future of Science, Technology & Innovation (STI): Impact on Education, Skills, and Work. National Science Day was held in Jamia Hamdard on March 1, 2021, wherein the Science Day lecture was delivered by Dr. Shahid Jameel, an internationally acclaimed virologist, and Director, Trivedi School of Biosciences at Ashoka University, Sonipat on the topic, “The Science of Vaccines”. The topic has great relevance in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Jameel while delivering his lecture on the theme of the National Science Day 2021 spoke on various vaccines against the COVID-19 and their mechanism of action. He provided up-to-date information on vaccine development. He highlighted the fact it will take up to nine months to get herd – immunity level of protection against COVID-19 in the Indian population at the current rate of vaccination. He expressed hope that science will win over this pandemic.
