  • AMC/CMC of such instruments is done every year with respective /authorized companies.
  • Gases and other consumables are used to run many instruments, which has purchased under the R/c.
  • More than 700 students have been done their PhD with high impact factor journals and secured placements in various sectors as Scientists, academicians and researcher.

School of Chemical and Life Sciences (SCLS) has a well-maintained Central Instrumentation Facility (C.I.F.), where a good number of high ends equipment's are installed. This central facility serves/supports all the users/researchers of Jamia Hamdard for the instrumentation, apart from what are available in their laboratory/Departmental Instrumentation Facility (DIF). The facility is open for all the researchers of the Jamia Hamdard and also useful for the summer trainee and M.Sc. students when they visit/observe instruments’ functioning under the supervision of research scholars or concerned teacher. At present there are nearly 15 analytical instruments installed in C.I.F., including mainly: Ultra-Centrifuge, HPLC, HPTLC, Spectropolarimeter (CD), CHNS (O) analyzer, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, RT-PCR, 2-D electrophoresis, Electronic Balance, Nanodrop, Gel Documentation unit, UV-Visible spectrophotometer and Sonicator etc. Besides, C.I.F. also maintains a Merck Millipore water filtration unit, which serves double distilled water and Milli-Q grade water to the users.
  • For the seamless and smooth functioning, all the equipments are kept under AMC/CMC with the respective/authorized companies.
  • All instrument operational steps performed in the presence of trained CIF staff. User presence is required during experiment and for data procurement.
  • The facility is expected to run on all working days (from 9 am to 5:30 pm). However, all users can deposit their accessories issued from C.I.F. staff from Monday to Friday.
  • Logbooks are maintained for each instrument of C.I.F. Users enters requested details in the instrument logbook prior to using instrument and leaving the facility.
  • The facility will abide by the holidays of the Institute and remain closed on these days.
