Centre for Training and Development

Centre for Training and development is an initiative of Jamia Hamdard, set up under the School of Management and Business Studies in the year 2022.

AIM: The centre aims to provide education, skill development through practical and relevant training programmes to help participants build their careers, develop corporate skill sets and keep up with the fast-changing world.

OBJECTIVE: To ensure the participants are better „fit‟ in the industry by making them industry and society ready. The Centre enables a leader or a leaner to know about the technicalities and methodologies in the best possible way. Our curriculum is completely
based on the modern-day requirement of corporate and training industry along with the academic excellence. CTD will provide technical courses, intense practical lessons and a wide range of business courses. The centre focuses in the areas of Research, Education,
Behavioural Sense, Personality Development, Skill development to name a few domain specific in Sales & Marketing, International Business, HR Operations, Finance, Strategy, Leadership etc. The Centre will be conducting and organizing training programmes, workshops, seminars & webinars at Local, National, and International levels. Trainees will be provided with necessary resources, mentorship and skill building activities for developing their professional career potential. The trained lecturers will help the beginners kick start their career and succeed in future endeavours and also enhance the skill of the working professionals of different organisations addressing specific executive learning/corporate training. At CTD the participants can upgrade social and professional skills that will develop the ability to make a significant meaningful impact on the community and society. CTD intends to drive innovation, access specialized expertise, advance research through collaborations. A Centre is built around understanding human training needs and to offer solutions in the areas of management. The Centre for Training and Development is driven under the aegis of Jamia Hamdard. Jamia Hamdard ecosystem is fostered by Hamdard National Foundation an NGO for social welfare with the objective of crafting an awakening
regarding education and healthcare among the people belonging to the weaker sections of the society. University conducts cutting-edge research in the fields of social, natural science and technology, particularly in modern and traditional medicine systems, especially Unani, encompassing a holistic and integrative approach to healthcare. University also has the extensive experience in the industry and academia to meet one of the main academic goals to actively enhance the professional growth of practicing managers through well designed and well-delivered Management Development Programs (MDPs). These are short duration skill development programmes for corporate executives who cannot attend long duration programmes due to compelling professional needs but need frequent updating of their managerial competencies to succeed in a globalized society. These MDPs are designed for corporate workforce, social workers and government employees. The Centre for Training & Development, Jamia Hamdar organizes exclusive custom-designed programmes, to address specific Executive Learning and/or Corporate Training needs of individual organisations. Such programmes can be domain-specific as in Sales & Marketing, International Business, HR, Operations, Finance, Strategy, Leadership, etc. or inter-disciplinary, comprising an ideal combination of multiple functional areas.

ABOUT JAMIA HAMDARD
Jamia Hamdard has made a significant space for itself in research and education fields in India as revealed by its consistent NIRF ranking of every year. Although our institution is more than 100 year old, but as deemed to be university it has come into existence as a
University in 1989 when the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of India, declared it as a “Deemed to be University”. Over a period, Jamia Hamdard has emerged as an outstanding institution of higher learning with distinct and focused academic programmes. The University has an excellent infrastructure including Smart Cluster classrooms, State-of-art labs, Library, Computer Labs, Guest house, Scholar house etc. The University incorporates quality education based on CBTs, Video Lectures, demonstrations etc. by highly qualified faculty members many of them been from IITs & NITs. The University offer challenging academic programmes at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral levels under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) encouraging students to excel in academics and pursue research in chosen specialization. Jamia Hamdard has attracted students from different part of the country including foreign countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Syria, Kyrgystan, Nigeria, Algeria, Nepal etc. The University follows its Vision and Mission to inculcate the research and academic excellence so that students pursue their career and sharpen their skills as required in the dynamically advanced technological world at any level of height and challenge.

OUR COURSES
Faculty members construct and offer open programmes based on their areas of expertise for executives of any organisation. Sponsored (In-company) programmes are tailored to an organization & needs. Thrust areas are team building, sustainability, leadership development, strategic management, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, IPR, analytical Techniques, HPLC, electron microscopy, animal handling and such others.

2) One Week Short Term Course (STC) on Export Import Procedures & Documents
3) Management Development Program (MDP) for New Managers
4) Management Development Program (MDP) on Building Positive Traits
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
Duration of the programme shall vary from three days to 6 month depending on the
requirements of the company.
